Introduction
Found under the Setup menu and Security, the Settings tab holds settings specific to gaining access to INSIGHT. Authentication-related settings are duplicated here, however, any changes in the Settings tab will be mirrored in the Authentification tab and vice versa. All settings can be viewed, edited or deleted.
When you select the Add button, you'll gain access to the Help settings list as a reference for the setting types to enter in this area.
Help Settings List

| AdhocReportingIpAddressRestriction | Ad-hoc Reporting IP address restrictions. Semi-colon separated list of IP addresses that are allowed to use this site. For example, "1.1.1.1; 2.2.2.2; 3.3.3.3". |
| AuthPropertyCacheTimeoutSeconds | Number of seconds before a AuthSetting property is cached. Default is 300 seconds or 5 minutes. |
| AuthTokenTimeoutMinutes | Number of minutes an authentication token is valid. Once timed out, the user must loging again. Default is 480 minutes or 8 hours. |
| AuthTokenTimeoutMode | Sliding or Absolution timeout modes to control AuthTokenTimeoutMinutes. Default is Sliding. |
| AuthValidatedTokenCacheTimeoutSeconds | Number of seconds an authentication cookie/credentials is cached. Defaults to 10 seconds. After the timeout, an authentication cookie needs to be validated again. The higher the number, the better the performance. If too high, timed out sessions may not expire on time. |
| DaysPasswordValidFor | Number of days the password is valid before the user has to change passwords. Default is 30 days. |
| HoursPasswordResetLinkActive | Number of hours the password reset link is active. Once expired, the link cannot be used to reset passwords. Defaults to 1 hour. |
| IsAuthTokenBoundToIPAddress | Check IP Address upon token validation to make sure it is the same as the one used to login? Values are "true" or "false". Default is "true". You may need to set it to "false" the source IP address for a user session may originate form more than one IP address. |
| MaxPasswordAttempts | Maximum password attempts. Default is 3. |
| MinPasswordLength | Minimum password length. Default is 8. |
| MinPasswordStrength | Minimum password strength. Valid values are "Weak", "Good", "Strong", "VeryStrong". Default is "Strong". |

| SiteIpAddressRestriction | Site level IP address restrictions. Regular expression match for IP addresses that are allowed to use this site. For example, "^(1.2.3.4)$" |
| SsoTokenTimeoutMinutes | Number of minutes an SSO token is valid before it expires and cannot be used. Default is 3 minutes. |
