Scenario
If a credit note was raised from an endorsement or cancellation and you want to refund this amount to the client or allocate the amount to an outstanding invoice, you must first convert the credit note to cash.
Process
1. Locate the client the credit note belongs to and view their profile.
2. Select Menu and Account Enquiry.
3. Locate the credit note, go to Actions beside it, select Convert to Cash, Post to Accounts, then Yes to confirmation message.
What happens after?
This process changes the type from C/N (Credit Note) to R/P (Return Premium). From there, you can process a client refund or allocate the amount to an invoice.
