Introduction
![]() | INSIGHT and Sunrise send and receive data between each other. All transactions (Quote, New Business, Renewal, etc) are initiated from INSIGHT and sent to Sunrise. |
![]() | Once Sunrise has processed the risk and premium information, that data is sent to INSIGHT for invoice processing. |
![]() | Unlike SCTP where there is one user interface for all available insurers, Sunrise has a different user interface for each insurer. |
Process
![]() | Initiate the relevant transaction wizard - refer to the below-related articles for further information. |
![]() | On the Policy Summary page:
When converting to new business, endorsing, renewing or cancelling, the above fields will already have information pre-filled. Review the information and update the fields (i.e.: From Date and To Date) as needed. |
![]() | On the Sunrise page:
The above is only valid for quotations, for other transaction types, the above fields will be pre-filled. The Sunrise Actions will have a different action depending on the transaction type, for example, an Endorsement will have the Sunrise Action = Modify. |
![]() | Complete the required information in Sunrise, then select the relevant button (for example, Finish) to return to INSIGHT - this will differ depending on the insurer interface. IMPORTANT: For transactions other than a quotation, you must close the transaction in Sunrise, to allow you to make changes to the policy after posting to accounts. When you leave the transaction as Unclosed, then post to accounts, you will not have the options to Endorse, Cancel or Renew. INSIGHT will first prompt you to close the transaction, then will allow you to further transact. Please ONLY post to accounts, once you have closed the transaction in Sunrise. |
![]() | When on the Schedule page, you'll note that the schedule has auto-downloaded from Sunrise, there is no need to copy & paste the insurer schedule into INSIGHT. You have the option to format the schedule using Edit Schedule, however, every time you go in and out of Sunrise, the auto-download of the schedule will occur and overwrite what is currently displayed. When on the Invoice Premiums page, you'll note that most fields are uneditable - this is because the premium details are auto-downloaded from Sunrise. However, you can update your Broker Fee. Depending on your setup, to update the Broker Fee, select Fee Allocation or Override. |
![]() | Complete the rest of the wizard as normal. NOTE: For transactions other than a quotation, posting to accounts is the equivalent of accepting the contact in Sunrise. |
